The third-generation MX-5 (NC) is a noticeably larger and more substantial car than its predecessors, with a stiffer chassis and more standard equipment - including, later in its run, a folding hard-top option. It remains true to the MX-5 formula of balanced, rear-wheel-drive handling, and offers a solid platform for suspension and braking upgrades.
