Dyno Results
Intercoolers being testing for ACT (Air Charge Temperature). Test carried out with Stage 1 mapped vehicle.

Standard BMW Intercooler:
Average air temp into intercooler: 115°C
Average air temp out of intercooler: 69°C

That's an average 49°C drop, but anything over 50°C engine intake temperature is not good for the engine.

AIRTEC Intercooler:
Average air temp into Intercooler. 84°C
Average air temp out of Intercooler. 36°C

The AIRTEC intercooler was seeing an average of 36°C with an increase of around 17 bhp.

The test shows with a basic Stage 1 remap, you can gain power with just having a AIRTEC intercooler. Having an AIRTEC intercooler fitted keeps air temperatures down resulting in a proven increase in power.
