This new Coolerworx NSB series shifter was designed specifically for the Evo 7, Evo 8, and Evo 9 with the 5-speed gearbox.

It’s not a refreshed old model — it’s a completely new design from a clean sheet.
To make sure we build it right, we worked together with WMD-Evo (UK) — a shop known for building and upgrading Evos only. Their experience and feedback were a big part of this project.

Back in 2016, we made our first “top-mount” Evo shifter. It worked great for the time and we sold many of them, but the world changed. Back then, nobody cared about cutting plastic, removing the center console, or modifying panels. Today, most Evo owners want clean installs and OEM-level fitment. So we decided to build something very different.

The Story Behind It

Our first Evo shifter (Gen 4 to Gen 9) was originally made for race cars with no interior, so cutting a large hole in the factory panel didn’t matter. Owners made it work — some even swapped 6-speed console plastics because the hole was bigger and required less trimming.

But the truth is simple - nobody likes cutting their interior.

So in 2025, we went back to the beginning. We 3D-scanned the Evo 7/8/9 interior, 3D-scanned the surrounding plastics, measured every limitation, and redesigned everything from zero.

The Challenge

The OEM 5-speed console has a small opening for the stock shifter. Under the plastic, there is plenty of room — but the visible top hole is the limiting factor.

Our goal:
make a complete short-shifter system that fits through the factory trim without cutting.
And to do that, nothing from the old model could be reused.

So we made new:

What Makes It Special

This is part of our NSB series — Never Seen Before.

NSB means the shifter meets three rules:
