The Japspeed Stainless Steel Cat Back Exhaust System with Decat Pipe is designed to improve exhaust flow, sound and performance on Mazda MX-5 NA MK1 1.6 models from 1989 to 1997.
Replacing the restrictive factory exhaust with a larger bore, free-flowing system helps improve exhaust gas flow, allowing the engine to breathe more efficiently and deliver improved throttle response.
This system also includes a decat pipe, which replaces the original catalytic converter with a straight-through section of exhaust pipe. Removing this restriction further improves exhaust gas flow, helping increase horsepower and improve engine response.
Manufactured from high-quality T304 stainless steel, the system features a 2-inch bore with a 3-inch tailpipe, delivering a sportier exhaust note compared with the standard factory system.
TIG-welded construction and CNC-machined flanges provide strength, durability and secure fitment. The system is supplied with gaskets and bolts for installation.
