The Japspeed Stainless Steel Decat Downpipe is designed to improve exhaust flow and engine performance on Mazda RX-8 1.3 Rotary models from 2003 to 2012.
Replacing the restrictive factory downpipe and catalytic converter with a larger bore, free-flowing stainless steel pipe allows exhaust gases to pass through the system more efficiently, helping reduce back pressure and improve engine response.
Manufactured from high-quality T304 stainless steel, this one-piece decat downpipe features a 2.75-inch bore, designed to improve exhaust gas flow and support increased power output from the rotary engine.
Removing the restriction of the factory catalytic converter allows the high-revving rotary engine to breathe more freely, helping improve exhaust efficiency and performance, particularly at higher engine speeds.
Featuring TIG-welded construction and CNC-machined flanges, the downpipe offers strength, durability and corrosion resistance, making it suitable for performance-focused and track applications.
The system is supplied with gaskets and bolts for installation.
