This stainless steel performance downpipe is designed to improve exhaust gas flow, throttle response and turbocharger efficiency on the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV, V and VI equipped with the 4G63T engine.
Manufactured from high-quality T304 stainless steel, the downpipe replaces the restrictive factory component with a freer-flowing, one-piece design featuring a 3" to 2.75" bore.
The larger bore helps reduce exhaust back pressure, allowing exhaust gases to exit the turbocharger more efficiently. This can improve engine responsiveness, reduce turbo lag and help the turbocharger spool up more quickly, particularly on modified or tuned vehicles.
Designed to bolt directly to either the standard or an aftermarket turbo elbow, the downpipe also incorporates a flexible joint to accommodate movement within the exhaust system and reduce stress on the pipework.
