The Japspeed Stainless Steel Decat Up-Pipe is designed to improve exhaust flow and turbocharger performance on Subaru Impreza Classic GC8 Turbo models from 1992 to 2000 and New Age WRX and STI models from 2001 to 2007.
Replacing the restrictive factory up-pipe with a free-flowing decat version allows exhaust gases to reach the turbocharger more efficiently, helping reduce exhaust restrictions and improve engine response.
By removing the factory catalytic converter where fitted, the Japspeed up-pipe is designed to improve turbocharger spool-up, reduce turbo lag and support increased engine power output.
Manufactured from high-quality mandrel-bent T304 stainless steel, the up-pipe features a 2.5-inch bore to promote smooth exhaust gas flow. The TIG-welded construction and 12mm thick flanges provide strength and durability under demanding operating conditions.
An integrated flexi joint allows for thermal expansion and movement within the exhaust system, helping reduce stress on the pipework and associated components.
