This stainless steel decat downpipe is designed to improve exhaust gas flow, turbocharger efficiency and engine performance on the Subaru Impreza GC8 Classic WRX STI (1995–2001).
The downpipe replaces the restrictive factory downpipe and catalytic converter with a freer-flowing, one-piece stainless steel design featuring a 3" bore.
Removing the catalytic converter and increasing the exhaust bore helps reduce back pressure, allowing exhaust gases to exit the turbocharger more efficiently. This can improve throttle response, turbo spool-up and overall engine performance, particularly on modified or tuned vehicles.
The larger bore also makes this downpipe a suitable upgrade for performance builds where improved exhaust flow is required.
