This stainless steel decat downpipe is designed to improve exhaust gas flow, turbocharger efficiency and engine performance on the Subaru Impreza NewAge WRX STI (2001–2007).
Manufactured from high-quality T304 stainless steel, the downpipe replaces the restrictive factory downpipe and catalytic converters with a freer-flowing, one-piece design featuring a 3" bore and 2.5" outlet.
Removing the catalytic converters and increasing the exhaust bore helps reduce back pressure, allowing exhaust gases to exit the turbocharger more efficiently. This can improve throttle response, turbo spool-up and overall engine performance, particularly on modified or tuned vehicles.
The downpipe features TIG-welded construction and CNC-machined flanges for strength, durability and accurate fitment. Integrated lambda sensor bosses allow the original oxygen sensors to be fitted, while the supplied gaskets help simplify installation.
