The Japspeed Stainless Steel Sports Cat Downpipe is designed to improve exhaust flow and turbocharger performance on Subaru Impreza New Age WRX and STI models from 2001 to 2007.
Replacing the restrictive factory downpipe and catalytic converter with a larger 3-inch stainless steel downpipe allows exhaust gases to flow more efficiently, helping reduce back pressure, improve turbocharger response and support increased engine power output.
Manufactured from high-quality T304 stainless steel, this one-piece downpipe incorporates a 200CPI sports catalytic converter, offering improved exhaust flow compared with the original restrictive catalytic converter while retaining a catalytic element.
The downpipe features TIG-welded construction and CNC-machined flanges for strength, durability and corrosion resistance.
Designed as a replacement for the factory downpipe and catalytic converter assembly, the kit includes the lower gasket and bolts required for installation.
