The FN2 (2007-2011) was the last naturally aspirated Civic Type R before Honda moved to turbocharging with the FK2. It used the K20Z4 2.0-litre i-VTEC engine - 201 PS (198 bhp) at 7,800 rpm, 142 lb-ft at 5,600 rpm - through a 6-speed manual only, and unlike the EP3, came with a helical limited-slip differential as standard. That changes the shape of a typical build: LSD retrofit isn't the early-priority item it is on the EP3, so spend tends to concentrate on suspension bushing, brakes and drivetrain durability parts instead, with a Kaaz or Wavetrac diff swap more often a later upgrade for cars already running more power.

Coverage here spans the same breadth as the EP3 range. Hardrace front lower arm and anti-roll bar bushing, BC Racing coilovers and Eibach lowering springs cover the chassis side. Braking runs from Brembo OE discs and pads through to Ferodo DS2500/DS3000 and Pagid compounds for track cars. Drivetrain parts include the same Competition Clutch range as the EP3 - OE-spec through to Stage 4 and multiplate kits - plus lightweight flywheels and a clutch master cylinder for cars needing pedal-feel work. Exhaust options run from Cobra cat-back systems to Milltek and HKS.

Several fasteners and engine components are shared EP3/FN2 fitments given the common K20 platform - the ARP wheel stud and head stud kits, and the HAMP oil filter, are listed for both generations rather than being FN2-specific. As with the EP3 page, it's worth checking exact spec before ordering engine-internal parts, since head and rod bolt kits in particular are shared across EP3, FN2 and the related Integra DC5.
