The main tenets of BC

Each coilover kit differs from the next, being specifically designed for different driving situations, styles and conditions. That said, there are some key features that run through all of BC Racing’s products. Beginning with their adjustability - each kit has a minimum of four adjustable variables, allowing you to affect different aspects of your cars ride and appearance. Whatever your project, all of their kits can provide a combination of the following:

Damper adjustment, and how it works

Whether you’re purchasing from the BR, RM or ER Series of coilovers - each damper has 30 different levels of adjustment, allowing you to completely customise how your car handles in a variety of different conditions.

By making tiny adjustments at the front and rear of your vehicle, you can manipulate the car into handling better for different scenarios. For example, if you have a powerful front wheel drive car that you’re planning to take on a track day, you’ll be looking to minimise understeer as much as possible. By increasing the resistance in the rear damper and softening the front, you increase the pressure being applied through the front tyres and thus increase grip.
